This year we’re all about the bling rings… and lots of them! Layering and stacking are a must but also require some strategic thinking. Balance, color, texture, spacing and size are all crucial elements to a winning hand, but if done wrong, can look horribly sloppy. So we’ve decided to lend our well-accessorized hands in creating a fool-proof formula to winning the ring game! Check out our tips and tricks below.

Start with your favorite ring. A ring that has special meaning or is simply the best deserves special attention and should be left to shine on a finger all it’s own.
Layering works best on the middle finger. Stacks of rings can create major drama but can also look too heavy if repeated on multiple fingers. A stack on the middle finger centers the weight of your hand and is much more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The surrounding fingers should be kept light.
Try a midi ring. A ring sized to fit the upper half of your finger is the perfect solution to balance out your heavily stacked middle finger. Placing a midi ring to either side of the middle finger leaves your lower finger bare so that it’s not competing with the neighboring stack while also allowing an interesting play on spacing.
Keep a finger bare. One finger should always remain bare; this is spiritual armor, not the makings of an iron fist.
Don’t be afraid of color or mixing metals. A hint of silver on a hand clad in gold (or vice versa) adds balance and an unexpected glimmer. Adding color creates a similar, but more vibrant detail.
Experiment with shapes and lines. Utilizing a combination of tight horizontal rings and vertically hanging charms will create an interesting bit of negative space and keep the hand looking light even when heavily decorated.
